Xuno's recipient verification partners

When you add a recipient on Xuno, we work with trusted third-party services to confirm their identity and bank details. During this process, the recipient may see these partner names appear on their screen. This is completely normal. Here is who they are and what they do.

Onmeta

Identity & Compliance Verification

Onmeta is a trusted technology partner that helps financial apps verify user identities in a safe and regulation-compliant way. When you add a recipient, Onmeta works in the background to check that the identity details provided are genuine and meet the required standards. Recipients may briefly see their name during this step.

DigiLocker

Government of India, Official Digital Document Platform

DigiLocker is an official service by the Government of India that lets people store and share their government-issued documents, like Aadhaar Card and PAN, digitally and securely. Xuno uses DigiLocker to confirm the recipient's identity using their Aadhaar card details. This means no physical documents are needed, and the recipient's Aadhaar and PAN information is never stored with Xuno.

Decentro

Bank Account Verification

Decentro is a financial technology platform that helps verify bank account details. When you add a recipient's bank account on Xuno, Decentro checks in real time that the account exists, is active, and can receive money. This helps ensure your transfer reaches the right person without any issues.

How recipient verification works

Once you initiate the process, the recipient will be guided through the following steps to complete their identity verification:

  1. Access the verification link

The recipient receives a verification link via the provided email. They must open the link to begin the verification process.

  2. Enter mobile number on Onmeta

On Onmeta's platform, the recipient enters their mobile number and proceeds to the next step.

  3. Identity verification via DigiLocker

The verification process is initiated through DigiLocker. The recipient signs in using their Aadhaar number or registered mobile number, verifies their phone via OTP, and provides consent to share the required documents, Aadhaar Card and PAN, to complete the identity check.

  4. Submit a selfie

The recipient takes and submits a selfie. This is used to confirm that the person completing the verification matches the identity documents provided.

  5. Provide additional information

The recipient fills in a few additional details, including their income range, occupation, the purpose of receiving the transaction, and source of funds, and submits the information to proceed.

  6. Verification complete

Once all steps are completed, the KYC verification is successful. This includes an identity check, document scan and validation, and a liveness check to confirm the recipient is a real, present individual. The recipient is now verified and ready to receive funds.

Note: Xuno does not store the Aadhaar number or any sensitive personal information. All data shared during verification is encrypted and handled in line with applicable data protection regulations.
